Made of cotton dropcloth fabric that has been washed and dried 3 times.
Nice broken in feel, totally pre-shrunk.
The heavy 100% cotton is a good candidate for dyeing.
Easy drawstring style,
I used the Clothe thy Children pattern, so not quite historically correct. All
edges are zig zagged, and all seams are topstitched. Waistband and leg openings
are hand stitched.
I have watched kids in camp lump along trying to keep their breeches in place,
I put 3/8 " cotton twill tape with a short section of elastic to help make
these stay in place better, and be more comfortable. Ties are tacked at the
backs so they cant be pulled out. Leg openings have 1/4" twill and elastic.
Dimensions:
Waist 30, when opened the widest.
Inseam 13
Leg opening, max, 12
I make 3 sizes and I can make these to order, please contact me.
The purchase of this item goes towards replacing my small awning with a larger
one, so visitors can get out of the rain.
